The election date is August 26th, 2008 and the voter registration deadline is July 28th, 2008. You can download and print the Florida Voter Registration Form here! Of course early voting sites will be available.

You can register to vote if you are

  1. A citizen of the United States, and
  2. You reside in Miami-Dade County. There is no length of time that you must live here before registering to vote.

You cannot vote if you have been

  1. Declared mentally incompetent and have not had your rights restored, or
  2. Convicted of a felony and have not had your civil rights restored

Absentee Ballots

Deadline to request an Absentee Ballot for 2008 Primary Election is:  Wednesday, August 20, 2008 no later, than 5 p.m.

Once you receive the ballot make sure that you completely fill out the form with all the required information, don't forget to sign it, and mail it back to the elections department with the correct postage.
